Today, I am just taking a moment to drink in the glorious blessings that are being bestowed upon me and my family. These may seem like small things to some...and really, they are...but just remember, dynomite comes in small packages!
I am just so tickled about "meeting" a new person recently...I was referred to her to order some items for Christmas. In passing, I shared with her that I would not be available for a get-together on the 1st weekend in January due to Bailey's surgery. Most people would just give someone an obligatory "I'm sorry..." and move on. This very special lady has actually been a blessing to me by seeking out Bailey's story via this blog and offering words of encouragement and complimenting Bailey during her journey. Don't you just love it when God brings amazing and loving people into your life?
It looks like I will finally wrap things up with the school to settle Bailey's homebound needs. YAHOO! AND! I will be meeting with the Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center on Thursday to arrange the blood drive in Bailey's honor. Thank you so much to Captain Bounds and Sgt. Singleton of HPD for allowing us to send the blood bus to the NW station on December 30. (More info coming soon.) Also, Bailey is still in need of directed donations. If you are blood type O- and are willing to donate specifically for Bailey, please message me or call me.
Lastly, I came across this website today. It is really meant for children with cancer but I think it can be of help to anyone who is spending any length of time with an ill child or in the hospital. http://www.squirreltales.com/parents/friends.html I know that Bailey and I will comb through this site later today to see what we might want to do for some of the kiddos and their parents that are spending the holiday in the hospital.
Here's hoping that God's blessings flow to you and yours in even, unbroken streams of abundance.
Love from the Hip & Sassy family!
